yeikh started by praising Allah for the
great venue, great people of this beautiful country of Malaysia. “Walhamdulillah
what a fantastic conference, mosque here that has been created. Subhanallah, It
was only 4 or 5 years ago when our last Mercy Mission in Australia, and since then
Allah SWT has blessed us to be one of the most fastest growing international
NGO worldwide, and that happens just because of the mercy of Allah SWT that He
has chosen to help simple people like us, like
me, my brothers in Islam, to try and spread this deen. Alhamdulillah
this is our second year in Malaysia, and this a conference that will spark the
changes. I ask allah to bless you all and mercy mission in this path to work with
all Islamic country worldwide in conveying islam, to fulfill the vision of
Rasululllah SAW.”
“Theres is a taboo/mistake/myth in the mind
of many muslimeen, that when you talk about Islam you cannot talk about money,
when you talk about Islam the image that will appear in your mind is a fakir,
someone who has dirty clothes. Perhaps goes to masjid, walking with his
sandals, his skin is dried and his cloth are worn.”
“Very rare of you have the picture of a
muslim that is a strong, wealthy rich, when you think of someone is wealthy and
practice it. It is reported that Abu Said bin alKhudri rahimahullah, one
of the companions of Prophet Muhammad
SAW, when he passed away, he left for each one of his wife 57 million US Dollar
inheritance. It is reported from Anas RA, that Rasulullah used to say about him
“I could not turn over every single rock except that I would find gold
underneath it, and it is reported that he left what was calculated to be
approximately 17million US Dollar of our time currency for each one of his 56
children, and he has over 100 children, which almost 40 or 50 of his children
died before he died, because he lived for more than 100 years.”
When we talk about Islam, and we talk about
money together, you must think of the
money as oxygen for Islam to expand, do not think of money as something which
Islam against with. As Allah does not hate money, Allah hates how people use it
in the wrong ways, because money nothing than another Allah’s creation itself. We the muslim ummah need the money to grow, to
expend, to increase.
InsyaAllah in the next few years, we want
to build shelters worldwide to help muslimeen, shelters called as Madinah. As
in Rasulullah SAW time, there lives People
of Ansaar, where Ansaar lives in Madinah, a madinah is where our shelters
are, our offices, our venues for activities. Despite so many muslim countries, so many
NGOs, and governments had tried to give shelters but there is still a lot of people
in need. Before you think that you just a poor student who hardly met your own
need, remember by Allah “every single
mountain is made of paddles, every single ocean is made up of drops of water”
do not ever belittle the khoiyr. DO NOT ever! Rasulullah SAW told us about
those people who has earned so much reward, they live by giving too little dinars,
the sahabat asked “why ya Rasulullah?” Rasulullah SAW answered that “only because they gave whatever they have..”
“First and foremost is the issue of our sisters, our women in
Islam. The fact that many of our sisters without any support at all and so many
of our sisters has been abused, rapped. I don’t know how could this happen
among our own brothers in Islam and how dare this to happen in a muslim
country. What I do know is to stop the
tide by providing shelters towards these people. We should start to give
shelter to them who domestically abused, who new muslim and has nowhere to go.
Mercy Misson has pioneered to launch this shelter across the world, already
launched in India, some will be in UK, also very soon in Canada as well, I
would like to lunch here InsyaAllah in Malaysia. I don’t know about you, but it
really made me question my manhood, when I find a sister in the street, when I find
a sister has to clear the bench for a sleep, when the sisters asked “where are
those brothers who are meant to protect us? Indeed they harmed us, rapped us”.
This is really great shame on us. I really feel that we are desperately needed
to lunch this service here in Malaysia too.”
“The second thing is that there is a large number of non Muslim is accepting
Islam today. Islam is the most growing religion even compared to Christian.
Since 50 years period (1935-1985), Christian religion increase by 47%, while Islam grew 235% (Readers Digest).
Allahuakbar!! The question is: where are the services for them??? They need education,
help, support, family. A particular Trend in Malaysia, Chinese help Chinese, Malays
only help the Malays [most of them], while the Indians help only the Indians. Mercy
Mission is trying to break up the trend. We are supposed to support them, help
them, because who else is gonna look after them, it must be YOU.
So, I’m asking you to join hands/be part of
me in building a madinah here in KL to
support our sisters, providing/house the women resource centre for sisters
where they can seek education, advices in starting business, health services, and
Islamic education. Number two is for the new muslims, for them to find family,
support, and the muslim education.
Syeikh Tawfique Chowdhury shared a video
regarding their successful work in India; where there were so many sisters
already got their shelters there under the roof of Madinah Mercy Mission.
Syeikh continued addressing about these two
group of people that would come to be our most priority, so that even after we
died, there would always someone else do the duty to look after our family
afterward.. “These are your people; these are the people who desperately need
your help. Remember what Rasulullah SAW
told us: every single day in the
morning Allah sends two angels, the first angel raise his hand up to sky
and said “Allah, give the one who gives
in Your cause something in return [which mean jannah/paradise/that wealth back
again]” the second angel says “Oh Allah give destruction to the one who does
not give in YOUR cause”[HR Bukhari].
The wealth/money in your hand is not yours;
it belongs to Allah which has been entrusted into you. So there is a need for
you to give in Allah cause so that it will go back to Allah in anyway. It does not matter that you are a student,
you don’t earn enough it does not matter! Remember what Rasulullah SAW ever
said that “verily charity extinguishes
the Allah’s anger fire just like the water extinguishes the fire”. Another
hadith said “Verily the muslim is in the
shade of his charity in the day of Yaumal Qiyamah”[HR Bukhari].
An example of
a very little-wealth man, Bilal after he has been freed, he still has a little
money and Rasulullah SAW said to him “Oh
Bilal, gives in the cause of Allah and never be afraid that the One Who Owned the Throne will ever be withhold
from you”
We witnessed to the fact that Allah has
been given so much wealth towards the enemy of Allah, to fight Allah, to fight
His Messenger, to fight against Islam. How would it be impossible for Allah to
help HIS helpers then? Never have the thought that Allah will not help us. Do
not think that, “I don’t have enough money, if I give this money,so how can I
look after my family & children?” NO! Allah is the one who is looking after
your children! Even after you died, Allah will always look after your children
and family! With the presence of other muslims around your family..
Lastly, Sheikh reminded us all of that
hadith says “death awaits us all”. Sheikh
said in his speech “we have only one chance to earn Allah SWT mercy, and this
is our chance, please for Allah’s sake, do not be fooled, think that Allah has
given you difficulty in your life so that you would live forever. I am a
medical doctor, and I had treated so many patients that eventually passed away
but still at the very young age. I ever came up to a 17 year old boy [patient],
I used every single knowledge that I have, 5 doctors come in help, desperately
to stop his heart from stopping, we did CPR towards him for 30 minutes as we thought
we could keep him alive…finally he dropped dead by Allah.. So, my brothers &
sisters in Islam, before death come to you, let’s do charity. Do not be one of
those people on the Day of Judgment when Allah says, “my slave asked you for some money, did you give it?” and Allah will
ask me myself cause I’m a medical doctor and I have money.
After a while, Syeikh Alaa ElSayed came up
on the stage to facilitate the donation/investment of money for the building of
shelters for muslimeen under the mission of Mercy Mission. It started with a RM100 thousand over the
year. The most amazing part is when there was a man of age 20 years old has risen
up his hand for this value! And lastly down to RM 5000 for over a year. What a
unique session for raising fund in achieving Allah’s redho. This is in another
way of saying Zuhud J
